Nuclear Sublime (2024)

This project is an exploration of power dynamics within the 1950s nuclear family and its similarities to BDSM structure. The return of tradwife movements during the current economic low suggests an innate desire for a fixated social construct, which the power structure of the dominant and submissive also provides, a subconscious desire for stability and defined roles in a time of uncertainty. Both scenarios suggests that clarity of power dynamics can create a sense of safety and belonging.
